Water4gas scam? I have received a lot of e-mail questions about this product, because I use to provide a link to it. This subject has also been discussed heavily on the Internet.
Update: Most of the content on this page was written a couple of years ago and represented my feelings at the time when gas was heading for 5$ a gallon. Like many others I lost interest when prices pulled back. Although I am not active in the water4gas forums anymore I still receive the news letter, attend the HHO games when I’m able and keep my eyes open for new information like dry cell technology.
Be aware paid advertising exists on this page. I’m not currently affiliated with the water4gas website, but I am an Amazon affiliate. I have decided to leave the content up on this page as it still gets traffic and clearly expressed my opinion at the time it was written. (End of Update).
I understand why people doubt that water 4 gas is a genuine concept. With all the junk on the wild web you have to be careful. After reading the two books of information and attending the hho games in South Florida, It’s hard for me to call the whole thing a complete scam.
Hang in there, because it’s not perfect and I will tell you why (my opinion) on this page! What the website may not make clear is that you’re not purchasing a ready to install system with the e-books.
What you are paying for is an education in ways to possibly increase fuel economy plus the directions to build your own system. You are buying an e-book that in my opinion should be treated like a science project.
Example of Water4gas Tips
It is a proven fact that you can have success at increasing your fuel economy. You can just change your driving habits as explained on this page. Even a slight gain is a step in the right direction.
My personal goal was to achieve what was advertised on the window sticker when I purchased my truck. Others would like to try and go beyond this number with unconventional methods.
One example of this is the fuel heating system. It has been discussed that heating the fuel will expand the fuel molecules and provide increased fuel economy.
To prove my point about this theory some people recommend that when you fill a tank you do so in the morning, when the gas stations in ground fuel tank is cooler providing a denser fuel per gallon.
If you were to purchase the fuel at the end of a hot summer’s day, you might actually receive less fuel for your dollar due to the expansion of the fuel from heat. So the idea in the books are to buy the fuel cold and heat it before it enters the combustion chamber. This is the same principle as buying low and selling high (well slightly modified).
I do think the basic system has lots of room for improvements. When I was at the south Florida hho games I saw interesting examples of how individuals used different tricks and components that worked best on their automobile.
The water 4 gas system can teach you enough about the subject of turning water into hydrogen gas so you can make adjustments that fit your application and availability of components. For example, a recommended plastic mason jar is one of the main components of the system and actually produces and collects the brown hydrogen gas.
This certainly has room for improvement. For my system I visited a junkyard and grabbed a coolant recovery tank from an E-350 and will be modifying the top of it to hold the components. This will be a more reliable and stronger set up than the light-weight plastic mason jar.
What I also liked about the water4gas books was they contained information about expanding the basic hydrogen system into a mega system that includes different ways of increasing fuel economy that can be combined on the same vehicle.
Is Water4gas Scam or Real
For me after reading the books and visiting the included forums, it’s hard to call the water4gas system a scam. So much effort was put into testing the systems and providing information about it that it’s hard to consider it anything but valuable.
I believe that some people are calling water for gas a scam because they expect more than a book. Visitors to the website more than likely quickly look at the pictures and expect a ready to go package to be delivered.
This is not the case; the books provide pictures and part numbers and places to buy items needed to build a system and instructions on how to install it. There is a market place where you can buy ready to install kits.
Should You Buy Books about Saving on Fuel
As gas and diesel prices continue their usual up and down roller coaster ride, alternative means for increasing fuel economy seems to be a useful market place.
The two books provided at the water for gas website provided me with the motivation to pursue learning more about the subject and start building a fuel efficiency system.
So to answer the question, water4gas scam. You will have to make your own decision on that subject, because the word scam means different things to different people.
Can you buy the books, learn about extracting hydrogen gas from water to be burned in your engine. In my humbled opinion the answer is yes. The author of the book has taken a lot of time to research the subject and test out many different ways of implementing a brown gas hydrogen system that will work on diesels or gas burning cars and trucks.
You will have to make your own decision on whether learning about cutting edge ways to increase fuel economy is worth the price tag and right for you. I do know this, gas prices will most likely be going much higher in the future and stay there. We all need to do something to fight back.
The oil company’s and car manufacturers would have you believe that water 4 gas is a scam and nothing can be done to increase fuel economy. In my opinion this is not true. People who think outside the box and take action are making new rules for average fuel economy.
