69 Dodge Challenger Project

by Bryan Beaudreau
(Woonsocket RI)

69 Challenger

69 Challenger 1969 Dodge challenger 6.1 Liter Hemi Red 69 Dodge Challenger

69 Dodge Challenger project car. I bought a beat up 69 challenger for 500 bucks just so i could have a project car and so far I hardly know what I am doing. I'm tying to take the mustang boss 302 motor out and put a 6.1L HEMI with a slap-shift transmission.

It has taken 3 months and I just got the motor out. The transmission is all messed up. Its cracked down the middle. It has been over a year now and I just finished high school in Woonsocket and I was in the automotive program and they helped me out a lot.

I got the car to look like it just came off the assembly line it runs great it has a dual flowmaster exhaust and the slapshift. I drive it around all the time except in winter of course. I brought it up to Arizona for a car show and we took third place. It is so beautiful if it wasn't for the teachers I would have never of gotten this 69 Dodge Challenger project car finished so thanks to you guys.

Awesome 69 Challenger
by: Mopar Fan

This is one Awesome 69 Challenger. I know that putting a modern engine in a classic car is frowned upon by some but not me. That 6.1 Liter is an incredible upgrade lets say over the standard 318 or even 340 C.I. that you would normally find in that car.

I am really curious what this Challenger would run in the quarter mile. A stock 340 cubic inch was good for about a 13.75 ET back in the day. My hats off to you and job well done.
